Chaudhry Mukhtar – The CAP Podcast #117
Mr. Chaudhry Mukhtar served at the Government Education Department in Baluchistan for many years; starting as a teacher and retiring as the District Education officer. He is originally from Hoshiarpur, India and migrated to Lahore in 1947; following this his family was given land in Pir Mahal but Chaudhry Mukhtar completed his education at Diyal Singh College, Lahore. Following retirement, he moved to Sahiwal with his family and has been residing there ever since. In this clip, he vividly describes his migration journey during partition and sheds light on the state of refugees on this side of the border.
