Geo has made a documentary on PITB's role in introducing e-governance in Punjab through automated initiatives to improve performance in public sector areas such as health, education, agriculture and livestock, the legal system and the police. Dr. Umar Saif, Fasieh Mehta and other PITB officials talk about how PITB has taken advantage of Pakistan's 67% mobile-phone penetration and developed phone-based applications which increase citizens' access to the government through technology-based, transparent and corruption-free channels. The documentary also highlights the role of ITU's tech-incubator Plan9 in encouraging Pakistani youth to use technology to create such innovative solutions.
