Akbar Farooq was born in Karachi and lives in Lahore. He studied architecture in Florence, but changed his focus to filmmaking. He has studied at the New York Film Academy in Abu Dhabi. Quiet Desperation is his third short film. Currently he made this documentary Film about flood victims in Pakistan.
