Ms Bushra Waheed – The CAP Podcast #142

Ms. Waheed was born in 1930 in Ludhiana and settled in East Pakistan after her marriage, where she lived till 1971. In this podcast, she speaks about the sentiments of East Pakistanis immediately after the imposition of Martial Law in 1958. She recalls candid instances of how frustration brewed amongst locals which, reinforced by the failure in repetitive attempts at political reconciliation, ultimately gave way to the creation of Bangladesh in 1971.
